Charles is one of those guys who pretends
he doesn’t like winning,
but he liked to win and hates losing.
I had friends like him, so I was not
surprised.
At the thanksgiving dinner, Charles was
bluffing about how he defeated me in a first-person-shooter game.
Of course, I fought back my juicy comments:
“I don’t mind losing in games, as long as I’m winning in my real life; not like
some people may win in video games, but lose in their real life.”
Everyone started laughing and Charles’
brother gave me a high five.
And of course, the rest of the conversation
was all about Charles defended for himself for not being a loser.
However, since I control the flow of the
conversation at the moment, I just followed up with more attacks.
He
finally ran out of words and said “Whatever.”
Next time, he would need to be better prepared
to argue with me.
